What is Restorative Justice?

Restorative Justice (or RJ, for short) is an opportunity for you to resolve your conflict with someone.  It allows all of you who were affected by the problem to come together on a solution for it, with the help of a RJ facilitator.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  • All involved are included.
  • Your side of the story will be heard.
  • Listening to all sides of the story takes place for better understanding.
  • All involved come up with the best solution.
  • You’re all able to move forward and have a fresh start!
Is there a facilitator in my school?
How do I tell RJ about my conflict?
To get in touch with the RJ Facilitator at your school, you can write a referral for them that has your name, a brief description of the conflict, and the date.  You can give this to your teacher, any staff, or the facilitator directly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You can also just fill out this online referral, and we will get it to the appropriate facilitator!

How does Restorative Justice help me when I have a conflict with another student?

RJ gives all involved the opportunity to voice their opinion.  You get to decide the outcome and repair the harm that has been done.

Restorative Justice has been proven to lower suspension days (keeping you focused on your education and grades up), help heal or build relationships, prevent bullying, and fix the problem before it gets worse..
